Morten Suurballe is a Danish actor born in 1955. He graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 1978 and has had a long career in theater, including being part of the ensemble at the Royal Danish Theatre for many years.
Suurballe is known for his extensive work in film and television. His film credits include The Shadow in My Eye, directed by Ole Bornedal. On TV, he has appeared in many international productions such as Zurük ans Meer (ZDF), The Lawyer (Viaplay), The Romanoffs (Amazon), Acceptable Risk (RTÉ), X Company (Sony), The Bridge (DR), Vikings (HBO), and as Detective Chief Inspector Lennart Brix in the critically acclaimed The Killing (DR), among others.
Morten will star as a lead role in the upcoming series Smilla's Sense of Snow, premiering in 2025.
